1. About this privacy statement
Tribes Dating (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects the privacy of everyone who makes use of our platform, our application and our services (collectively: the “Service”).
Our platform facilitates connections between people, including dating, lifestyle communities and alternative relationship forms. Because users sometimes share very personal information — including information about relationships, gender identity and sexuality — we process personal data with the highest level of protection that the AVG requires.
This privacy statement is applicable to all processing activities of Tribes Dating and describes: which data we process, on which basis, for which purpose, for how long, and which rights you have.
We process personal data exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG/GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Implementation Act GDPR (UAVG).

3. Which personal data do we process?
3.1 Registration and account data
Upon registration or purchase we process:

— E-mail address
— Telephone number (if provided)
— Date of birth (for age verification — see art. 3.6)
— Payment data (processed via certified payment service providers; we do not store complete payment data)
3.2 Profile data (voluntarily provided)
Users can optionally add additional profile information, including:
— Profile photos
— Personal description / bio
— Interests and preferences
— Relationship preferences and lifestyle preferences
3.3 Special (sensitive) personal data
Special personal data enjoy enhanced protection under art. 9 AVG. We process these data exclusively on the basis of explicit, specified consent (art. 9 paragraph 2 sub a AVG) and never for advertising purposes or profiling without your explicit approval. Users can voluntarily share the following special categories of personal data:
— Sexual orientation and gender identity: if filled in by the user themselves on the profile
— Relationship form and lifestyle preferences: such as non-monogamy or other relationship structures
— Health data: exclusively if voluntarily provided (e.g. allergy data for catering at the launch event)
You are never obliged to provide these data. You can withdraw your consent at any time without adverse consequences.
3.4 Communication data

Biometric data (such as facial geometry) are exclusively used for verification and are deleted after verification, unless you explicitly consent otherwise. Biometric data are never shared with third parties.

These data are used to improve the quality of the Service and to prevent misuse. We do not use these data for personalized advertisements of third parties.

3.8 Location data
We collect location data exclusively with your explicit consent (art. 6 paragraph 1 sub a AVG) and exclusively to be able to show users in your environment. You can withdraw location permission at any time via your device settings.

5. Special categories: extra safeguards
Tribes Dating applies additional safeguards for special personal data (art. 9 AVG), such as information about sexual orientation, gender identity and relationship forms:
— Minimal processing: we process only what is necessary for the requested functionality
— Explicit consent: separate consent moment for each special category, with clear explanation
— Right of withdrawal: you can withdraw consent at any time via your profile settings or via [email protected]
— No third-party sale: special personal data are never shared with third parties for commercial purposes
— No profiling for advertisements: we do not use sensitive data for advertising purposes
— Access restriction: internal access to special personal data is strictly limited on a “need-to-know” basis
